CNC ROUTER CUTTING
A CNC router for jali cutting is a computer-controlled cutting machine used for cutting complex patterns, designs, and perforations on different materials such as wood, plastic, acrylic, MDF, aluminium, and other substrates. Jali, a type of decoration using an interlaced pattern in architecture and woodworking, is an Urdu and Arabic term. The CNC router cuts the jali patterns as designed by the user in the design file, guiding the movement of the cutting tool on the programmed paths to create the intended pattern. CNC routers have high precision and repeatable accuracy, making them ideal for fabricating intricate jali designs with the same level of quality every time. In addition, CNC routers are great for batch production as they can be programmed to cut multiple copies of the same design.
CNC jali cutting can be done on a variety of materials including:
- Wood (MDF, plywood)
- Metal (steel, aluminum)
- Acrylic
- PVC
- WPC (Wood Plastic Composite)
CNC Jali panels are used for both aesthetic and functional purposes. Some common applications include:
• Interior partitions: Jali dividers create a separation between spaces while allowing light and air to flow through.
• Doors and gates: Jali designs can add a decorative touch to doors and gates while providing ventilation.
• Furniture: Jali panels can be incorporated into furniture pieces like cabinets or bed headboards.
• Wall panels: Jali panels can be used to create accent walls or add visual interest to plain walls.
• Cladding: Jali panels can be used as a decorative cladding for exteriors or ceilings.
